After you set up your profile, you will be redirected to secure your license and begin living the Gig life you’ve always dreamed of!

How do I get a gig as a Benefits Guru™ ?

Getting selected to work on a gig takes a combination of a dynamic and professional profile that makes you stand out from the crowd, optimizing the Enrollify algorithm so that you are atop a Benefits Guru™ query, and a willingness to commit to the parameters of any given proposal.

Why is my Benefits Guru™ Profile So Important?

Your Benefits Guru™ profile is your opportunity to establish and build a credentialed profile for the entire industry to see. What Makes a Good Benefits Guru™ Profile?

Statistics show that profiles with pictures are 8X more likely to get selected. We recommend that you select a photo that is professional. Once this is is uploaded, craft a short biography that suggests why you might be the obvious choice. Speak to your passions, your experience, and any unique skills you might bring to their enrollment team. Finally, upload a video to introduce yourself. Don’t go crazy- 20-30 seconds of your radiant personality, immutable charm, and smiling face should win them over. If you speak multiple languages, perhaps it is a chance to demonstrate. Ultimately, these things offer those that are searching a virtual handshake and a momentary glance into who you are. Ask yourself, “what do you want them to see?”

How does the Enrollify algorithm work?

A query of our national database returns a list of candidates for a given opportunity based on five elements:

  1. Licensing and Geography
  2. Guru Level
  3. Sales recorded through the platform
  4. Effectiveness metrics
  5. Customer feedback

How do you know if I am licensed?

During the onboarding process, your state licensing and carrier appointments will be verified through our integration with the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) https://www.nipr.com. Thereafter, on an annual basis (on or about January 1st) we will re-confirm and update any status changes . If you add new licenses or appointments mid-year and wish to update your profile outside of this time frame, please notify us by email: licensing@myenrollify.com so that we can update this information on your behalf.

What if I have No Experience?

Not to worry, Enrollify has a robust library of professional development and industry insight that is ready and waiting for the curious mind to explore. The more courses you take, the higher your training score will be showing hiring entities your commitment and preparedness. An additional benefit of this effort will be an elevation of your Benefits Guru™ status in searches. After a few kick ass results and positive customer feedback- you will be a seasoned pro!

What do you mean by "Guru Level"?

In order to proclaim that we are “The Best Gig In the Gig Economy”, we have to focus on delivering extraordinary value. We believe a big part of this value comes through professional development. And so, we have an ever increasing volume of courses to help our Guru’s improve their knowledge, preparedness, and ability to earn. We pride ourselves on providing what we believe is the most comprehensive learning and development in the employee benefits industry. As you take courses your virtual learning CV will be credited, a badge will be earned, and your score will be elevated for the whole community to see- This is what we mean by Guru level.

Note: Often there will be required coursework as a condition of your agreement to participate on a case. You can wait and cram, or get a head start by cruising our catalog for a refresher or something completely new that interests you.

Effectiveness and Customer Feedback

As you use the platform, we will collect quantitative analytics and customer feedback to bolster your profile. Therefore the more you Enrollify in an exemplary way, the more opportunities you should have to choose from. As this feedback is solicited after each employee interaction (think Uber), we recommend you close out each employee interaction with gratitude, appreciation and a soft request that might go something like this:

“Thanks for spending some time with me. I hope you feel like you have a better understanding about your benefits and feel confident in the choices you’ve made. As a follow-up to this session, you will receive a notification requesting any comments, and a star rating for the job I did- it would mean the world to me if you could provide positive feedback”

How are fees set and negotiated?

Cases that are established on Enrollify by a hiring entity (Enrollment firm, brokerage agency, carrier, etc.) will usually be managed by one of their internal implementation coordinators who will set the parameters and economics based on a variety of factors including complexity, seasonality, language needs, hours of operation, and more.

Benefit Gurus™ will receive notification by text, email, and/or push notification notifying them of an invitation to participate. Within that invitation, you will have the opportunity to review the details, requirements, and the proposed economic arrangement of the case. Subsequently you may accept, decline, or propose an alternative economic arrangement with an explanation as to why you feel it is warranted. It’s that simple!

How Do I Get Paid?

In most scenarios, there will be an agreed upon fixed fee each time an employee is seen and an additional fixed incentive to be awarded when a strategy is executed, or program is “sold”. The accumulation of seen payments as indicated within your Enrollify “Compensation Center” will be available as often as daily through our In$taPay feature. The frequency of payments will be at your discretion and will occur upon your initiation. Upon initiation, money should be available in your bank account in 1-2 business days.

The balance of “sold” incentives will be available for distribution upon verification and will not exceed 45 days after the open enrollment period is closed per the Terms of Use. In some scenarios, commissions may be used in lieu of Enrollify’s cash payments. In these cases there will be an indication of such action within the negotiation process. It will be the sole responsibility of the Benefits Guru™ to ensure their carrier appointments are up to date. In these scenarios, Enrollify is not involved in the facilitation or processing of these commission payments.

Benefits Guru™ Service Provider & Freelancer Fees

Pursuant to the Terms of Service, Enrollify charges Benefit Gurus™, service providers, and freelancers a service fee for each payment a hiring entity makes per the pre-negotiated terms. Depending on the roles played and features of the Service Contract, the Fees will be charged either as “fixed” or “tiered” pricing, as indicated below.
Additionally, the use of various Payment Methods offered through the Site and the Site Services may incur added fees or charges that can be found here: https://www.paymentrails.com/terms#use . All Payment Methods will be posted on this site along with any associated fees or charges, which we may update from time to time at our sole discretion.

What About Taxes?

Though we are not offering tax advice, we want you to be aware that as Benefit Gurus™, service providers, and freelancers in receipt of monies paid through Enrollify, you may be responsible for paying taxes. We encourage you to seek advice from a tax professional to determine what, if any, direct or indirect taxes are due depending on your residency or location.

Can I be a Benefits Guru™ and an Implementation Coordinator?

Let’s start with the definitions of a Benefits Guru™ and an Implementation Coordinator:

  • Benefits Guru™ – Independent Contractor (1099) working in employee benefits or financial services.
  • Implementation Coordinator – Enrollment Firm, VB Agency, In-house quarterback or freelancer responsible for implementation strategy.

You are free to use both a Benefits Guru™ profile and an Implementation Coordinator profile as long as you sign up with a different email address for each profile. If you have questions about being an Implementation Coordinator you can find more information in the FAQs for Enrollment Firms.

Information We Collect

When you register to the Site, or use it as collaborator, we ask you to provide certain personal information, including a valid email address, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google account log in details and username. We may ask you to provide or otherwise collect additional information such as your profile details, physical address, telephone number or other contact details, financial information (such as payment method and credit card number), details about your profession and expertise, and additional authentication information (such as your NPN -National Producer Number), as permitted by applicable laws and as detailed in our “Terms of Use”. We also collect information about your communications with Enrollify as well as communication with other users of Enrollify.

In addition, we collect information while you access, browse, view or otherwise use the Enrollify Site. In other words, when you access the Site we are aware of your usage of the Site, and gather, collect and record the information relating to such usage, including geo-location information, IP address, device and connection information, browser information, web-log information and all communications recorded by Users through the Site. We use that information to enhance user experience, as well as monitor the Site to prevent fraud and inappropriate content or behavior. We also collect supplemental information obtained from third parties such as demographic and navigation data, if applicable.

Once you register, your username and additional information regarding your profile and services are made public and are visible to all users of the site. This information may include photos you upload, your descriptions of your services and experience, user ratings and feedback, platform achievements, platform results, and additional information you may choose to add to your profile.
